Ancient Greece

In Ancient Greece, society believed in the twelve Gods of Olympus. These twelve Gods included, Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Apollo, Artemis, Athena, Aphrodite, Hermes, Ares, Hephaestus, and Dionysus. Zeus was the supreme God of all the Gods after the war against the Titans. There were other important Gods, Goddesses, and heroes including Heracles, Hebe, Helios, Hades, Dionysus, and Persephone. Each God/Goddess was significant by representing a certain branch in life. For example, Poseidon is the God of the sea. Also, each God/Goddess had their own individual story about how they became a God/Goddess of what they are.

Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut lived during the Egyptian Period of the New Kingdom. She ruled in the Eighteenth Egyptian Dynasty and  reigned from 1472 BC - 1457 BC until she was succeeded by Amenhotep II. Because she was pharaoh, she was considered to be a living God and worshiped as a deity. Her father was Thutmose I and her mother was Queen Ahmose. Her husband and consort was Thutmose II. Hatshepsut eventually died in 1475 BC.
